Green Bay cracks down on prostitution, escort services

Green Bay police made 32 arrests during the course of a two-month crackdown on prostitutes and escort services.

Police said this morning that they have been working under cover to arrest escorts operating without an escort license or offering prostitution services, and to arrest customers of those services. The officers have placed advertisements and responded to advertisements concerning the services and made the arrests at area hotel rooms and apartments.

All suspects are being charged with municipal violations, which range from $658 to $2,518 in fines. In addition, two people face criminal charges related to the offenses.

The sting operation is ongoing, police said.
